14.3 Economics at Universidad de Deusto
The University of Deusto offers the Doctoral Programme in Business Competitiveness and Economic Development for students wishing to pursue a career in the academic sphere, specialising in the study of competitiveness. Two main agents form the core research resources that this doctoral programme is based on. One is the research team on business competitiveness and economic development (CEDE) whose outstanding research has been recognised by the University of Deusto. The other is the Instituto Vasco de Competitividad (Basque institute for competitiveness) of the Deusto Foundation (Orkestra), created in 2006 by public and private bodies. The objective of the Institute is to support activities related to competitiveness carried out by the public administration, socio-economic agents and universities in the Basque Country.

The Applicant must have a Master degree in a similiar field and good knowledge of Spanish and/or English.
